I'm trying to install 1.2D (via SSTO floppy built from April 23
sources) on a PS/1 model 2155. It is a 486dx33.
When trying to access the hard disk, I get:

wdc0: lost interrupt: status 50<drdy,dsc> error 0
wdc0: lost interrupt: reading 0@wd0:0
....
wd0d: wdcstart hard error reading fsbn 0 (wd0 bn 0; cn 0 tn 0 sn 0)

I then tried swapping to a hard disk that I had previously
disklabeled. [but then discovered that that MB disliked my ne2000s a
lot]. I get the same result with this hard disk.

Has IBM done something weird with their onboard IDE controller?
The machine runs DOS fine, but the BIOS may be running without
completion interupts or something.
