I just put a second ethernet card in two machines, then went to
configure it with the NE2000 'jumperless' disk setup.

OOPS. My EEPROM seems to have flaked out and my MAC is now FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF.
While I can change this in software once booted, this is a bit annoying.

Does anyone have instructions on setting the EEPROM on these types
of cards? While I could leave it like that, I can can't leave it like
that on *two* cards on my LAN :-)

From looking at dev/isa/ed.c my guess is that you just ed_pio_write
to the locations that ed.c uses to read the station address from. But,
if someone has/knows of a program to do this, it would appreciated.

I'm partially asking here because of the discussion about getting
rid of the SMC ezsetup/Etherlink III setup stuff.

I also have what appears to be an old 3c509 clone (or rather dubious
origin), but the 3com disk doesn't see it, nor does NetBSD. Win95
apparently (according to a friend who loaned it) ids it as a 509
correctly.
