	Hi,

I tried to install NetBSD on a Peacock Challenger 590 notebook (P90, 8MB,
2 PCMCIA slots) today. But neither the precompiled 1.2-PCMCIA kernel nor
a self made one based on 970513 current sources recognize the 3c589.
Both report "slot 0 failed to get cis info 19" (or "slot 1 ..." if I
put the card in the other slot), don't find the card and lock the
keyboard after the system entered multi user mode.
The 3COM card works fine with a Novell (aka Duke 3D) client under DOS
and Linux 2.0.29 with PCMCIA support so it should be a hardware problem.
Any hint what's going wrong?

BTW: is it wise to use IRQ 12 for PCMCIA configuration per default where
most laptops have PS/2 mouse compatible pointing devices?
