How shallow is the ocean? How cold is the sun?

I use them. I'm a masochist. If they run at all, they run just
fine. The problem is that random combinations of drive and/or machine
just croak. Thats what you get for using a chip with self modifying
script code.

Bovine excrement. We are running FreeBSD's driver. Things are "okay",
but not great with this controller. If you lose, you LOSE. Their
lossage and ours is probably identical.

As I said, I'm stuck with the thing (and sadly maintain it for us),
but the only thing that will fix the NCR driver is to nuke it from
orbit. Its the only way to be sure.

BTW, my machines happen to run stable with them thanks to tuning. As I
said, if they work at all, they run just fine. Getting them to work at
all, though...
