We have used CCD for a long time (over a year) on a news server which
receives over 22000 groups (1-2 GB/day) and we've never had problems
with it. Currently we have four 4 GB Barracudas on a single 2940UW
controller, all grouped together as a 16 GB partition (wish that was
mine :-) The machine is a P200 with 80 MB of RAM.

This news server is rock solid (running 1.2 with some patches). I don't
think it has ever crashed.. Uptime is 29 days now (the machine was moved
a month ago :)

Too bad I couldn't answer all the questions. ;-)
