...unless the interrupt isn't caused by the parallel port.  Chances
are you'll just start seeing lots of "lpt0: out of paper" ... somewhat
annoying.

IR 7 can be caused by the PIC receiving an interrupt, but the line
dropping before the PIC can deal with it... the PIC has to post something,
and picks IR 7 for hysterical raisins.  (At least, this is how it was
explained to me... Dig out Indispensible for a thorough answer :-)
