I just put
stand_i386-970312.tar.gz
for anonymous ftp on
zelof1.zel.kfa-juelich.de:/pub/NetBSD/bootcode.

This is more or less the stuff formerly called "bootcode-yymmdd"
at the same place. Now that the compressed boot support went
into the -current tree, as did various fixes to libsa, the size shrunk
by about the half. This means that "stand_i386-..." is only usable
with -current sources.

As far as boot sectors and DOS booters are concerned, there are
no functional differences to the last release.
The netboot ROM part has some improvements:
-support for 3c590 (PCI) ethernet cards
-support for AMD PCNET-ISA2 (ISAPNP) ethernet chips
-proper error reporting in TFTP boot

best regards
