Other Linux netscape versions have been highly sensitive to the shared
library versions you're using, particularly for libc and some of the X
libraries. A few minutes in any linux newsgroup and you should hear
more about this than you care to know.

My own data point:

bsd (not bsd2) version works fine for web and mail, but segfaults
whenever I try to do anything with the newsreader. I can't "add group"
or "join discussion" without crashing and news: urls are silently
ignored.

Anyone got this portion working?
