Contact neil@netbsd.org ... he has a version of the -current ahc
driver that has been ported back to 1.2.  This version solves the
"runnning out of SCBs" problem on such controllers by implementing
a simple software queue.  I tested these changes quite thoroughly by
putting a 4-disk ccd, plus the disk for root/swap/usr, plus the disk
that has my home directory on a 2742.  No problems.
