I know we had some traffic regarding this just recently.

Gimp (linux version) crashes on file open under emulation and a
brand spanking new set of libraries (2.3 from freebsd packages).
./gimp fatal error: sigbus caught

Anyone having success with it?  Perhaps I'll try the freebsd 
version.
