recompile (on a 386 no copro) was ready this morning..
this night i'd time to swap kernels..

ifconfig now shows:
193# ifconfig ppp0
ppp0: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST>
193# ifconfig ed0
ed0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST>
        inet 193.78.85.35 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 193.78.85.255
193#
(nobody on ppp0; just after reboot)

ifconfig used to show:
193# ifconfig ppp0
ppp0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST>
        inet 193.78.85.35 --> 193.78.85.31 netmask 0xffffff00
ifconfig: SIOCGIFADDR_ISO: Invalid argument
ifconfig: SIOCGIFNETMASK_ISO: Invalid argument
ifconfig: SIOCGIFDSTADDR_ISO: Invalid argument
        iso  -->
193# ifconfig ed0
ed0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST>
        inet 193.78.85.35 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 193.78.85.255
ifconfig: SIOCGIFADDR_ISO: Invalid argument
ifconfig: SIOCGIFNETMASK_ISO: Invalid argument
        iso
193#

by it's looks it's more thrustfull ;)'
and the kernel got smaller from 1605522 to 1395693
(that is with 8 comm and ppp drivers inside)

i outcommented..

#options MROUTING # IP multicast routing
#options                NS              # XNS
#options NSIP # XNS tunneling over IP
#options                ISO,TPIP        # OSI
#options EON # OSI tunneling over IP
#options                CCITT,LLC,HDLC  # X.25

ThanX for pointing me!,
