If you're getting a Pentium Pro (which you've already said you're not,
but FYI...), the 512K models are prohibitively expensive.  And the
256K models are So Damn Fast anyway, why bother.

If you're getting a Pentium-based board (like a Cyrix 6x86), with
motherboard L2 cache, _definitely_ get 512K Pipeline Burst cache.  It
will make a difference, and it's not very much more money.
