You should have mentioned the version of NetBSD you are using.  Judging from
the bugs you see, I assume that it is quite an old version.

This one was fixed during the release process of 1.2.

There were quite a number of fixes relating to this, but IIRC not recently.

Try upgrading to 1.2 (or -current).  If the problem(s) persist, I'd be happy
to hear more details.
