I have found that the optimum size for an MS-DOS FAT partition
size is 504 MB long (504 * 1048576). This is the largest partition that
uses 8k clustering. Anything larger gives an unacceptable slack space
index IMHO ( >10% of total disk usage). A feasable situation would be the
following:

MS-DOS - ~504 MB
NetBSD - ~1100 MB
