I just picked up an Archive Python DDS-1 DAT drive (the 25588 model) an
installed it on a NetBSD-1.1 pentium box with a Buslogic 956C SCSI
controller. I can backup to tape but when I try to recover the tape with
tar the machine immediately crashes and reboots giving the following
message:

vm_fault (f8786900, 0, 3, 0) ->1
fatal page fault in supervisor mode
trap type 6 code 2 eip f818n306 cs 8 eflags 10246 cr2 0 cpl 0
panic: trap
syncing disks...

I am at a loss for why the tape isn't restoring and why it's bringing the
system down when I try.

TIA for any help
