Unfortunately, not all of us have a choice.  e.g. there are plenty of
machines (especially non-i386) out there with ISA busses but without PnP
BIOSes...  If the only way a card comes from the manufacturer is with
PnP enabled, and don't have an i386 and/or DOS to run on it to disable
the card's PnP mode, we're screwed...
