I've had OK results with Quantum drives.

I had always been wary of Fujitsu drives because they are always the
cheapest ones in Computer Shopper.  I figure if they make the same
size/speed drives for less money than everyone else, that they must be
cutting some corners somewhere.  I've never actually owned a Fujitsu
drive -- maybe I'm wrong...
