I'm looking to find out how people may have accomplished this.
I see either of two ways:
Boot PROM using bootp/bootparam/tftp/other, then method below
Small boot disk, then use NFS/Samba/AFS?/other
I have been using FTP Software's PC/NFS for many years with excellent
success. Totally reliable.
For example, I'd like to know how well the MS-DOS network drive emulation
carries over when using things like Windoze 3.x or prot-mode dos extender
games, etc.
I have yet to use it with Windows (we don't use our DOS machines for
much :), but will be installing that combination in the next few
weeks. Get back to me if you want info on that experience.
Cheers,
Brook
