look in arch/i386/include/... for the NKPDE constant ... if you increase 
that number (maybe double it), I think the ptdi panics will disappear 
with a higher MAXBSIZE...

However, making this number larger in the general case is not the correct 
solution, because it increases pmap overhead, which can be a real lose on 
systems without a lot of memory.
