One thing to note about it: the default mount tries to determine if a given
filesystem uses extended names by looking in the root directory. I have had
floppies where the root directory contained only short directory names which
all contained solely long filenames... (Rather than always remember to add
the -l flag to the mount, I just put a long filename on the root of those
floppies...) Anyway, this might deceive some people into believing the
support isn't there.
