The Pentium and pipeline burst cache are not your problem.
It sounds like you just have a crappy motherboard. What brand is it?
My ASUS P55TP4N runs Windows NT just great, and it's probably the most
recommended board on the *bsd newsgroups.
You might also just pull your cache card out, and carefully but firmly
reseat it, to make sure it's not just loose.
