Hmm, didn't solve the problem for me. I tried that before posting,
because the kernel said it recognized the aic6360 at IRQ 12, but
it didn't help. The I tried to boot of from a different controller
(Future Domain 1830), but only to find out, that the kernel doesn't
recognize/support this one :-(

That's what I have been asking before, but it went by unanswered ...
Perhaps you should send-pr it.
