AGH!!!  NO!  DON'T!!!

I have had linux lock up terminals it *thought* supported color.

If it'll be there at all, make it an option, and *NOT* the default.

I don't spend enough time wondering what things are to benefit from
such a feature, and it manages to both hurt my eyes and make it
harder for me to scan directory lists to look for files.
