Someone suggested trying the beta release, and sure enough it supports the
board, though I had a lot of trouble finding timing combinations that worked.
Supposedly there are clock-chip fixes in the 3.1.2B release, but I haven't
had time to download that yet (probably better do so soon, the A beta release
expires sometime this month...).

Yes; a former boss called me up to say that he was at a startup company doing
something really exciting, and did I want to take a look at what they were
doing, and sure enough, it was exciting enough to go do.  I'm now at a
company called "CacheLink", doing a clustering project.
