I just got a panic `update: rofs mod' when I typed `shutdown -h'
in single-user mode after having brought up the machine in single-user
mode. It looks to my untrained eye as if this came out of ffs_sync
where it tries to write the modified super-block back to a filesystem.
I did have both the root and /usr filesystems mounted read-only at
the time (I had just come up in single-user mode). I do have a core
dump in /var/crash. What do I do now?
