Hello.
If anyone is running a sound card with the Aria chipset from
Sierra Semiconductors, I am writing a driver for it to run
in 'native' mode.
Some of the cards with this chipset are:
AltaPro/S
AltaPro/S1
AltaPro/SA
AltaPro/S1A
Aria 16
Aria 16se
AudioBahn 16 Pro
CyberAudio
Omnivox
Sound 2000
Sound Epitome Wave
Sound Pilot
Sonic Sound Rev.A5
Sonic Sound Rev.B2
TESS
ViVa Maestro 16
ViVa Maestro 16 VR
VR
The current stages of the driver are publicly available,
and are running decently. (I am running the driver on
my system, and it is not causing crashes, and the sound
card is performing better than it did under Soundblaster
emulation (and no more cause to boot DOS, to set it up))
If you have one of those or want more information, try
