I daresay that you can use the latest FreeBSD (2.1.0-951104-SNAP)
floppies and select the "fixit" option.  Just grab boot.flp and
fixit.flp and image copy them to floppy disks.  Then boot the boot
disk, select fixit, insert the fixit disk when asked and you should
be able to fsck/mount/repair your NetBSD drives (we haven't diverged
THAT much, I'm pretty sure!).  There are also various editors, restore
and networking utilities there available for bringing stuff across
from backup tapes or another machine on the network.  Good luck!
