Actually, this is the only reliable way to set this port up... at least, 
considering that you Just Can't share interrupts on the vast majority of 
ISA boards.  I suppose you could use irq 2 (9), or irq 7 if you disabled 
the primary printer port...

To say it another way, the common practice of putting two com ports on 
one interrupt is badly broken.
