Yes the machine supporting it has had a serious hardware failure. It's
being rebuilt, and it takes longer than expected. Anyway, to tell if
your card is supported, you'll need to know exactly what chipset it
uses (traditionaly #9 have used the S3 family, but there are many S3
64 bits chipsets now...), which clockchip and which RAMDAC. If your
vendor can't tell you this information, have him open the case and
look at the board.

Then grab 'untarred/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/doc/README.S3' from
one of the XFree86 FTP mirror sites and see if your combination is
supported. (the file is too big to be included here).
