You list Mitsumi CD-ROM drive compatibility for NetBSD, before I bought one
I checked with their tech people that there had been no recent changes (none)

Mitsumi's tech people made a few reasonable sounding claims that I wanted to 
verify.

They advised that their drives use the IDE hard disc controller "like most 
other Quad spin Drives" "IDE has become a quasi standard for quad spins" ie 
NEC etc.

This implies any IDE CD Drive should work, can you please advise?
