 Yes, there is kernel/i386ps2/* in MK83i386. But it uses the ABIOS for a lot
of functions. Not exactly my cup of tea, but maybe it's a case of different
hardware below the ABIOS.

 Check out "The Undocumented PC" by Frank van Gilluwe published by
Addison Wesley. It has a wealth of information regarding MCA which
I haven't found elsewhere.
