Does anyone have any firm idea as to the performance of the SMC PCI card
with this driver on, say, a P90 or better? Can I expect close to full
ethernet potential?

Also, what kind of performance are people getting from their 3c509 cards
(ep driver)? I can't get more than about 90 kps from mine on output (input
is ok, I can get up to 1000K). Something's surely broken, but the driver
looks like it is doing all the right things as far as I can tell. [This is
on a P5-90 running NetBSD 1.0, there are no collisions or transmit errors
reported... ???]

I'm about to buy a bunch of new machines and I don't want to get stuck with
a doggy ethernet card.

Thanks for any advice,
Jaime
