I have an external USR Courier v32bis, and I also had no luck with the
new driver.  When my brownslip program tries to open the device, the
process hangs.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but I'm a bit swamped right now.  I'll
try to post more soon, but I just wanted everyone to know now that it
isn't just Mike's Digicom modem.
