I made a snapshot of NetBSD-current for the i386 yesterday, and I just put
it up for FTP at:

	ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386

The files in there should be pretty explanatory; the .fs files are
disk images, and you can probably use them with the 1.0 installation
instructions to install a new system.  (I'm not betting on it, though;
it's not been tested.)  Tar files of the various "distribution sets"
are in the 'sets' subdirectory.

There is now only one "kernel-copy" disk image, which will work with
all of the disk controllers supported by -current.  The kernel in that
image is made from the INSTALL kernel config file, which is a
GENERIC kernel config file with a lot of the options removed.  (Most
notably, it DOES NOT have the kernel debugger, DDB.)  I've also
provided a GENERIC kernel image, in 'netbsd.GENERIC.gz'.  (That's
_JUST_ a kernel binary; gunzip it, and copy it to /.)

People outside of the United States (and Canada, etc.) shouldn't grab
the 'domestic' subdirectory.  Note that 'crypt' is now contained in
the base distribution, so you only need the 'domestic' set if you want
to do real DES encryption.


enjoy!  tell me how it works.  (There are known bugs, but if the
snapshot is "completely broken" i'd like to know so i can see what i
can do about it.  8-)
