Way back in the beginning, if I remember the OSF traveling road show
correctly, it was $1000 for the source, and about $1000 + a per copy
royalty for the validation suite/right to make binaries.  The claim
was that source code to OSF products should be affordable to more
than just big vendors.

I think the fees have been increased about tenfold since then.
