perhaps I'm not the only one who does this. The placement
of the "control" key on PC keyboards is brain-dead as far
as I am concerned. So I use some magic from xmodmap to swap
the caps lock key and the control key (in x). But this fix has
the irritating feature that the caps-lock LED changes state
every time I hit the caps-lock key.

Does anyone know of a simple way to get the caps lock LED to be
toggled only when I hit the control key (which is mapped under
x-windows to behave like the cap-lock key ) ?

I hope that wasn't too confusing... :-)
