W/out serial cable you can:

1) use debug version

2) switch to the "console" tab (bottommost)

3) check "save to file", enter file name "bootlog.txt" or something

4) there are 8 unnamed checkboxes at the top of the tab - they control
bits of internal debug variable (left is most significant), check
   the bits 1 to 3:

   [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [x] [x] [ ]

A file with the boot log will be written to the FAT portion of the CF,
where you can retrieve it after the crash.

Also, try a bare bones kernel instead of GENERIC (e.g. throw out j6x0*
devices, etc). If you don't have a system to cross compile a kernel
on, I can compile it for you.

Thanks.
