I use jed (avaible from pkgsrc) on my jornada, which has a Emacs-like 
behaviour (and key codes), nice syntax highlighting and a "hpcsh-friendly" 
size. For me it works great for C/python (yes, I really do python 
development on the jornada) and LaTeX.
