Just on the kernel compile side - If you have any faster
machine running NetBSD or another posix operating system
you can cross compile a kernel quite quickly with:
./build.sh -m hpcmips tools (once)
then
./build.sh -m hpcmips kernel=GENERIC (for each rebuild)
