Hello all. Figured I'd share my exploits so others don't have to do so
much experimentation.

I bought a very cheapie USB wired ethernet adapter from Ebay for about
$12 including shipping, but (big surprise), it was broken when I
received it. You get what you pay for I guess. It was based on aue. I
told the seller that it's broke and he's sending another one. We'll
see how it goes.

In the meantime I broke down and bought a Linksys usb200m. I've always
wanted a good USB adapter in my toolkit. I'm not sure if this is the
best one, but I know for sure that it's supported with axe in
-current.

I have a Linksys WUSB54G wireless USB 802.11g card. Apparently atu
from current is supposed to work with it, but I haven't been able to
make it work.

Also bought a 1 gig Lexar CF card which seems to be doing the job
nicely. But those 4 gig microdrives are coming down in price.... (stay
away from the Seagate 5 gig until they come out for retail).

Other notable stuff:

Linksys WPC11 v3 PCMCIA 802.11b adapter (v4 won't work, it's cardbus)
Turtle Beach USB audio card (works great with madplay)
Lexar 256 meg jump drive (used to be my root disk)

I forgot to comment out the built in audio adapter in this kernel.
Since I don't think anyone has got it to work (not that you'd want to,
it's mono), I figure it's not worth having.

Here's my current dmesg:
