Thanks Andy for your super fast reply to my call for help ... :)

Unfortunately, I still get the 'Shared object "libXau.so.6" not found' error
when I run startx

then after that I get
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errorno 2): unable to connect to X
server
xinit: No such process (errorno 3): Server error

Any clue? Thx!
