ricardo:

you can find 'em on ebay once in a while... of course, one could always =20=

buy a spare z-50 with the extra RAM installed (but i would choke on the =20=

thought of having to spend US$100 for a 32MB RAM module!)

:-)

i just did a quick on-line search of the Kingston, Crucial, and other =20=

sites - looks like technology gets obviated quickly!

couldn't find nary a one except for these idiots:

http://www.upgradememory.com/product1.cfm?=20
SID=3D1&Product_ID=3D33992&Category_ID=3D8010

(but they have RAM upgrades for the z50 listed up to 1GB, so this =20
'undescribed' product is most likely a CF card)...

went to the Big Blue Mothership and searched... there's still product =20=

info, but alas, the 32MB module is no longer stocked, even through =20
IBM's Vulture Excess Inventory affiliates...

wait a sec! i *think* i have an extra module... lemme go back in my =20
computer bone yard for a moment... be right back...

hmm... looked in the two ibm z50 boxes i have... found several printer =20=

and RS232 cables... extra dual-LiIon batteries and dry-cell adapters =20
(gotta love a BSD-based notebook that runs off of eight AAs!)...

btw, i'm such a sick little monkey... if i find a tool or piece of =20
technology that i really like i buy two of 'em - especially if they're =20=

on sale... i'm sure there's some psychological reason behind my =20
behavior - not that i'm a 'hoarder' - i *do* clean house, throw out =20
trash, and dispose of unwanted, unused items... but i like having a =20
spare on hand.. this goes for a lot of items around the QTH, such as HF =20=

transceivers, generators, and semi-automatic weaponry... (i've been =20
saving a NIB shrink-wrapped copy of WFWG 3.11 for several years - one =20=

of these days in the near future i'll take it out to the range)....

aha! i found (1) still-sealed, NIB 32MB Kingston RAM module, part #KTM =20=

- Z50/32, described as a "32MB Memory Module, equivalent to IBM P/N: =20
20L0243"

now let the bidding begin!

JUST KIDDING!

since you asked nicely, the RAM module is yours for the cost of =20
shipping (i have 48MB RAM installed in each of my z50s; the module =20
purchase was the result of a brain fart several years ago)...

BUT, how in heck do you send an SASE?

(hey, i'm a nice guy, but popping for int'l shipping is a bit much?)
