the serial port on MobilePros is wired as a PDA: its female gender and 
included documentation is supposed to suggest to you that it's DCE, so 
plug it straight into a PeeCee without a null modem adapter.  

If you want to plug the MobilePro into a modem or a GPS, you'll need a 
null modem adapter, and CD and RI probably won't work the same as a 
PeeCee with a 9-pin DTE serial port.
