port-hpcmips: x on the z50

I had NetBSD running well on my 'old' installation--1.6 I think. I 
decided to upgrade to 1.6.2 and now have been having some problems.

The troubling thing is now a non-root user can't seem to use X. X starts 
fine, can load the window manager, but the pointing device will never 
move. Is this a permissions problem? There doesn't seem to be any 
'reminder' about it as X starts.
