hi,

i need a new power adapter for my mobilepro 770, and i was wondering what
amperage it needs. i have an oem adapter now and it's rated at 1A, but i'm
told it probably needs less. what's the rating on the nec adapter it comes
with? the reason i'm asking is that the 3-500mA adapters are half the size
and weight, and half the price, so it would be nice if that was enough (i
have a microdrive and a "low power" 3com ethernet card installed by the
way). will i destroy anything by plugging in an adapter that can't
deliver, or can i just buy a few and return the ones that don't work?
