That is exactly what I use mine for, and its great.  I wouldn't bother
with winCE. You can't run remote apps on x, you don't have nearly the
flexibility or any of that.  I have a z50 with the LCD suspend feature
and my battery will last for a long time, maybe 6 hours continuous use
before I feel that I should recharge.
