Hi,

Perhaps it might help people to assist you if you would please post the commands you are using to build.  Did you use the build.sh script?  Did you read the BUILDING and UPDATING files in /usr/src?

My z50 is just now finishing building -current from last Saturday's sources.  (The z50 is making the comp.tgz release set as I write this.)  I used approximately the build command sequence suggested by Alan Barrett in his post to the current-users list on 12 Nov 2002.

This is the first time I have tried compiling -current on the z50, so I did everything with the default GENERIC configurations. 

Build times are roughly as follows:

tools   6 hours
kernel  5 hours
everything  110+ hours :-)
