Thanks for replying.

OK, I've repartitioned with fdisk. Here is some output:

# fdisk /dev/rwd1
NetBSD disklabel disk geometry:
cylinders: 1000 heads: 16 sectors/track: 32 (512 sectors/cylinder)

BIOS disk geometry:
cylinders: 1000 heads: 16 sectors/track: 32 (512 sectors/cylinder)

Partition table:
0: sysid 6 (Primary 'big' DOS, 16-bit FAT (> 32MB))
    start 0, size 512000 (250 MB), flag 0x80
        beg: cylinder 0, head 0, sector 1
        end: cylinder 999, head 15, sector 32
1: <UNUSED>
2: <UNUSED>
3: <UNUSED>

But this doesn't seem to work:

# newfs_msdos /dev/rwd1
newfs_msdos: Cannot open `/dev/rwd1': No such file or directory
# newfs_msdos /dev/rwd1a
newfs_msdos: Cannot open `/dev/rwd1a': Device not configured

How do you do this with windows 2000?

I'm running 1.5.2 GENERIC_LAPTOP on i386 for the examples above.
