They must be 5.0V tolerant then, or the bridge is being helpful by
working anyway when you tell it to do 5.0V (or you are using a normal
laptop where they work because 3.3V cards work on cardbus bridges).  I
know that the MobilePro bridge (the Ricoh 396 iirc) doesn't grok 3.3V
cards at all.
