hmmm... yes... perhaps i'm using adam's build and not greg's! lemme 
check...

uh oh! i'm using adam's build (which incorporates greg's new trackpoint
updates) - adam's kernel is 3494011 bytes in size, while greg's is 2580220
bytes in size!

perhaps something was left out of greg's kernel?

i'll try booting both to see... gimme a sec...

yep! greg's kernel doesn't seem to support netstat output, while adam's
does (otherwise, networking, audio and trackpoint seems fine in both
kernels)... i downloaded and tried both from scratch..

so, you may want to use adam's build... i apologize for any misleading 
info...
